EIF Revlon Run Walk 2012
Thank you to the the tens of thousands of people who joined us Saturday, May 5th in New York City and Saturday, May 12th in Los Angeles for an unforgettable day of celebrating triumphs, remembering those we’ve lost, sharing stories, and making a difference in the fight against women’s cancers.
The EIF Revlon Run/Walk for Women was launched in 1994 through the combined efforts of Lilly Tartikoff, Ronald O. Perelman, chairman of Revlon, Inc., and EIF. Since inception, more than $65 million (New York & Los Angeles) has been distributed. Proceeds from past EIF Revlon Run/Walks have funded cutting-edge research, contributed to the development of the breakthrough gene treatmentHerceptin® as well as other targeted therapies, brought new and innovative treatment approaches to women’s cancers worldwide. Monies raised have also helped numerous organizations in providing education, advocacy and outreach services to those affected by women’s cancers.
The New York race began with the Opening Ceremonies in Times Square as Runners & walkers took off under a sea of confetti and finished at the Health & Sponsor Expo in Central Park. The Los Angeles race took place at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum at Exposition Park on Mother's Day weekend. Participants finished by running through the historic Olympic tunnel onto the field for a celebratory concert.
Remember, you can still continue fundraising to earn awards until June 15th, 2012.
