The Entertainment Industry Foundation is a public grantmaking organization. We administer grants to selected organizations capable of fulfilling the missions of our programs and fiscally sponsored funds. While we do not accept unsolicited grant requests, we are scholars of impact and are eager to learn about the work of nonprofit organizations making our world a better place.
EIF grants administration includes pre-grant review and requires grantees to submit progress reports detailing the achievement of their goals through sound financial accounting. Interim reports are required as a condition of the release of funding, with a final report due upon completion of the grant.
Each grantee organization is reviewed for:
Confirmation of tax exempt status as defined in section 501(c )(3) of the Internal Revenue Code
Compliance with the Internal Revenue Code governing not-for-profit organizations, including the USA Patriot Act
Capacity to achieve the proposed grant objectives
Track record of services provided in key areas of need
Organizational effectiveness and leadership
Sound fiscal management
We request that all impact reports be submitted using the Blackbaud login provided to you when the grant was issued. If you need support, please contact grants@eifoundation.org.
Formal requests for a no-cost extension should be emailed to grants@eifoundation.org. Your request should include the specific reasons for your request, a breakdown of expenditures to date for the grant, and a proposed timeline for the full expenditure of grant funds. An EIF team member will respond after a review of your request.
Currently, EIF does not accept unsolicited requests for funding through any of our programs or fiscally sponsored funds. If your organization is mission-aligned with a particular EIF program or fund, we are happy to know about your good work. Submitting information to grants@eifoundation.org does not constitute a grant application, nor does it guarantee funding.
EIF awards grants for its programs and funds through an invitation-only process. During each initiative’s development, and as part of its ongoing impact strategy, nonprofit organizations are identified based on several criteria, including an organization’s track record and ability to accomplish specific strategic grant objectives consistent with the goals of the EIF program or fund.
EIF has provided directed cash support as part of specific, large-scale relief efforts; however, the Foundation does not make gifts to individuals or families requesting funding for isolated situations.
EIF does not generally accommodate unsolicited offers to meet face-to-face with organizations, but we welcome information about your organization sent to grants@eifoundation.org. Submitting information does not constitute a grant application, nor does it guarantee funding.
EIF is a public charity engaged in grantmaking and public awareness; as such, we do not contact celebrities, high-profile individuals, or the entertainment industry on behalf of other organizations. Celebrities can generally be contacted through their individual representation.
EIF is a Charity Navigator 4 Star Charity that meets all 20 BBB Charity Standards and carries the Candid Platinum Seal of Transparency.
