Cher Cares provides funding to Free The Wild, which was founded by Cher with Mark and Gina Nelthorpe-Cowne to stop the suffering of wild animals in captivity and ultimately find a way to release them into sanctuaries or better-equipped zoos. Cher Cares also funded the Pandemic Resource and Response Fund, which provided COVID-19 supplies and support to medical staff and communities struggling with poverty and other adversities long before the pandemic occurred. Support was provided to people in rural and urban communities who had minimal access to physical protection and medical care.
