Rise and Honor

Rise and Honor celebrated our country’s military men and women.

In 2011, EIF honored all who have served in our country’s military by teaming up with ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition “Rise and Honor” on Veterans Day. The televised special offered a valuable reminder of the importance of the day, telling the stories of several veterans and their families — and the revitalized homes that have helped provide them a new lease on life.

Celebrities including Whoopi Goldberg, Jewel and the late Robin Williams came together for the televised special focused on raising money for groups helping our heroes navigate the many tough issues they face after returning home. The stories highlighted the challenges veterans face along with the strength and skills they cultivated.
